PRIMA (fine or OK) was the yellow-white striped grandstand-style tribune in the shopwindow of a former dry-cleaner at the Delflandplein shopping centre in Amsterdam West. The project ran for 1 year, during which more than 1800 people visited PRIMA and sat down.
The formal modernistic form of the tribune hides the fact that the idea behind the project is actually quite romantic: to rest, take some distance and contemplate. The idea was to have people look at the square in an new way. PRIMA is a RoseboomWeemen project, made possible through the kind support of the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts.
